- Complete the handout. I've included pictures and videos of the Daphnia below. You can make your drawing on a sheet of paper instead of a drawing sheet. A PDF of the reading is available in Schoology (IBI Reading 132-133).

The picture below is of the same Daphnia from the video above. Alex in first period focused on the head at 100X to see this much detail. Notice the detail in the antennae, the muscles on the eye, the digestive tube, and the structure on the exoskeleton of the Daphnia.
The video below is from Charley, Aiden, and Dante's microscope. Clearly visible is the beating heart located just below the intestine. Near the heart are 4 offspring. Also notice the movement of the legs.
The picture below shows a female Daphnia with offspring in its brood chamber. This was discovered by Caroline and Betsy in first period.
